You can edit text on your website by double clicking on a text box on your website. Alternatively, when you select a text box a settings menu will appear. Selecting 'Edit Text' from this menu will also allow you to edit the text within this text box. Remember to keep your wording friendly, approachable and easy to understand as if you were talking to your customer

Become a Women's Lacrosse Umpire
  Step One: Register with US Lacrosse and AWLUA

Umpires Under 18 Years Old
  1. Register or renew your USL membership.  Renew Here .
  2. Email us at info@awlua.org to let us know you are interested in being a junior official so we can put you on the email distribution list.

New Adult Umpires

  3. Email us at info@awlua.org to let us know you are interested in becoming a new adult official so we can put you on the email distribution list.

Returning Adult Umpires
  1. Register or renew your USL membership.  Renew Here .
  2. Make sure to regularly check your email to stay up-to-date on AWLUA events.


Step Two: Attend the Required Classroom Sessions
  1. Register for the appropriate classroom training session at our online registration page.
  2. Take the USL Online Rules Certification Course (preferable before the classroom training session). Instructions here. 
  3. After your classroom training, take the USL Rules Test via the US Lacrosse hub in Arbiter.


Step Three: Participate in On-Field Training and Rating
Umpires receive on-field training and must earn a rating in order to be qualified to umpire games.

Step Four: Game Assignments
  1. For new umpires-    our Assigner will create an ArbiterSports account for you.
a.  Upon creation of the account, you will receive a WELCOME email from ArbiterSports.
b.  After receiving the WELCOME email, you will need to login into ArbiterSports.
i.  Create a password.
ii.  Add your contact information into ArbiterSports.
III.  Since we use ArbiterPay (also called RefPay) to pay for games you MUST include your SSN number as part of your profile.
No one can see  your SSN number except you.  If you don't enter it you will not be paid for any games you work.
IV.  Provide an accurate address and zip code.  This information is used to assign games and also used where mileage is paid.
The mileage fees  are calculated based on the  address shown in ArbiterSports.
v.  Phone numbers are used to contact an umpire for last minute changes to game time/location.
    4. Block out dates/times you are not available to umpire; please update your availability whenever it changes - this could be every day!
    5. The Assigner may reassign umpires based upon need.
    6. The Assigner will schedule umpires for games, as required to obtain the necessary coverage.
    7. You will receive an email anytime you have a new game assignment. Accept or decline the assignment in ArbiterSports ASAP.
    8. The Executive Board (EC) in conjunction with the Head Trainer and Assigner will schedule observations for umpires to aid in their growth as
an umpire.
